What are the years based on? Is it based on what was/wasn’t available at launch in 1979, or is there more to it? The manual scans don’t seem to have dates in them unfortunately. |

Title 1 was a pack-in only cart and the system was launched in Dec. 1979. All other titles were released in 1980 according to this site: http://www.ne.jp/asahi/cvs/odyssey/videogames/sv8000/setframe.html. Though I can't actually check any of his cited reference materials, he does cite newspapers, magazines, the Bandai '79.'80 product catalog etc. Honestly, I probably should remove the ? after 1980. |

Here are adverts from Feb. and Sept. 1980. The former says game 2 is planned for release that month and the later states that all games are for sale and their prices.
