@happppp you were the last to do major work on this, weren’t you. Is “US” an official region code used by Philips/Magnavox, or should it be standardised to USA?

I'm not aware. Isn't the region for most English NTSC computer hardware North America? MAME has the habit of putting US(A), poor Canadians.

Anyway, US or USA, I don't mind either way.

Well it varies. For software that wasn’t developed in the USA, sometimes the importer only had distribution rights for the USA, and Canadian distribution was handled separately. In some cases there was no licensed Canadian distributor at all.

Yeah, I know regions in descriptions in MAME are a bit of a mess and often don’t match up with actual regional distribution licenses.
