You should really use a feature element for all these part numbers you’re adding so they can be picked up and displayed by things that scrape the XML.

Yes, you're right. I'll move them all on my next commit.

Also, I was thinking on grouping all CDs that came bundled with the same products on the same entry. i.e., a IRIX release like 6.5 was a box with 9 CDs (Applications, freeware, documentation, development foundation, development libraries, installations tools, etc.).

Do you think it's better to have them on separate entries? (base OS and then entries for each subproduct) or a single entry with different parts (I'd say a single entry).

Use a single item with parts if it was sold together as a single release.

Yeah, ideally each softlist entry would like to represent an actual bundle which existed back in the days. In addition to separate parts, as Vas said, please add a "part_id" tag to each of them so to specify which component each disk represented (the internal UI shall then display it, helping a user who's prompted by a "Insert Installation Tools disk" during work on the system...)
