When the weather turns cold most physical education classes will move indoors. This doesn't mean you have to limit the number of activities you can set up to give students plenty of fun and exercise. Almost any game that is traditionally played outdoors can be modified to be played Gym Gear indoors including soccer, baseball and tennis and with the right indoor gym equipment you can have recreational and even official games set up and ready to play in no time.

If your gymnasium is big enough and you have sturdy gym curtains to divide up the floor spaced you can easily set up indoor tennis courts for gym class. In addition to rackets and balls you will need durable and sturdy indoor steel posts to set up recreational and competitive level nets. Often found in 3" 11-gauge steel with powder coated green or black colors indoor tennis posts also feature internal worm gear winches with a self-locking gear mechanism to prevent re-coil when winding. Combined with a high quality 36' net you can have fun and competitive games of tennis indoors for any gym class.

Another fun game that includes nets is badminton. Much easier to play than tennis badminton is a great physical education class game that can be played by almost everyone and is not a physically demanding as competitive tennis or even racquetball. With enough rackets and shuttlecocks you can turn any indoor gymnasium into a full badminton tournament court with the right curtain dividers and nylon mesh badminton nets.

Since many games can be modified to be played indoors a handy piece of indoor gym equipment is folding multi-purpose goals. Easy to set up and take down for storage multi-purpose folding goals can be used for a wide variety of indoor games including soccer, floor hockey, hand ball and even impromptu games made up on the fly. Featuring folding steel frames, knotless nylon nets and vinyl sleeves indoor goals make for great backstops that will accurately mark the goal and can be used for several different games.

Other good ideas for indoor gym equipment include adjustable wall-mounted chinning bars, game standards and basketball backboard adapters. Moving competitive games indoors when winter rolls around may mean adjusting the game equipment a bit so everyone in the class gets a fair chance at competing and with adjustable backboard adapters you can bring basketball goals and rims down to levels appropriate for the age group in your class.
