The current summary "A drawing application for the GNOME desktop" isn't great (too long, mentions the target environment, not very informative, not engaging).
I'd suggest something like "Create and edit images".
when you told me the guidelines for my other app i changed it here too, i tried several things and nowadays it's "Simple image editor for Linux" (though i haven't released a version with this new summary yet). It's better (no repeating the app name, no "A ...", no "for GNOME", shorter than 35 char.) but I forgot about the "imperative verbs" part, so it's still not perfect
Maybe "linux" counts as a target environment too? i kept it because it's the same summary on the webpage and the github repo where the linux-only context isn't obvious, but indeed i will remove it from the appdata file itself
I like the "simple" though, it's a very generic adjective but also a central principle of the app: users should never expect Photoshop, Pinta or even CSP from my project
"Simple image editor" isn't amazing but could work, but the "for Linux" part makes no sense in the context of an app store (e.g. Flathub or GNOME Software) on Linux. If it wasn't for Linux it wouldn't be there, would it? :)
That said, something with an imperative verb like my suggestion above would be even better.
