The entire menu can be removed - almost everything in there can be accessed through another, more logical interaction and it is therefore obsolete. The couple of things that can't be accessed elsewhere should have those interactions made.

The interactions to be made:

  1. Follow requests https://fosstodon.org/follow_requestscould go in two places, either
1.1 In settings below relationships like https://fosstodon.org/settings/relationships/follow_requests OR
1.2 On your profile https://fosstodon.org/@Brendanjones/follow_requests (to match the current follows/followers links like https://fosstodon.org/@Brendanjones/followers). It could be added as a tab alongside Following and Followers, as shown in Profile UI: When viewing a profile's follows or followers, hide the rest of the profile info. AKA create tabs for the follow & followers lists #29176.
  2. https://fosstodon.org/pinned should either:
2.1 Go to https://fosstodon.org/@Brendanjones/pinned and be added as a tab on your profile next to Media, OR
2.2 Just be removed completely. I mean, does anybody use that page? Your pinned posts all appear at the top of your posts already. Does anybody have so many that they need a dedicated page for them?
  3. Add blocked/muted users & hidden domains list to Settings page #9650
  4. Add Hashtags to the menubar "pin" hashtags in simple layout #11091

[obviously replace fosstodon.org and @brendanjones, those are just my server and username]

Motivation

Hamburger/ellipsis/overflow menus are a mostly a crutch for poor (navigation) UX/UI - and once that UX is fixed the menu should be removed to remove clutter from the UI. Which could be the case here. This is a good thing!

Updated the issue because it's now a hamburger menu instead of an ellipsis menu, and added #11091 to the list of interactions to be made, because 'followed hashtags' now also lives in the hamburger menu.
