Doing this helped discover this #30219 Closing on assumption that once that's merged I can rebase the old one and confirm the reporting is good there. |

This is the same exact thing as the other flatware PR - #27663.
Opening purely to test out the codecov integration re: flatware/simplecov interaction. Don't merge. Will close this after seeing what happens.
