Short ’n Tweet (EE 1.6.8 Version – See the ee2 Branch for the 2.0 version)

Create a “Tweet This” link and optionally use or to shorten the current URL.

Originally Developed by Eric Barnes.
General EE Plugin Info:

{exp:shortn_tweet title=“{title}” url=“{url_title_path=weblog/item}” hashtags=“#foo #bar” short_url=“”}
<li><a href=“{twt:twitter_url}{twt:title} {twt:hashtags} {twt:title_url} (via @masuga)”>Tweet this thang</a></li>

Remember that if you are using as your URL shortener that you will need an account. You will then have to add your username and API key to the plugin, in the do_shorten_url_bitly function:

  $login = 'YOURBITLYLOGIN'; // enter your login here
  $apikey = 'R_01234567890abcdefghijklmnopqrstu'; // enter your key here
