I and some other XMPP users connecting to #fdroid#matrix.org@bridge.xmpp.matrix.org experience incoming message loss. We are able to see the missing messages in IRC.

I'm using Conversations v2.4.3+fcr from F-Droid. Please let me know if I can provide any further information.

Would supporting MAM (#64) fix this as a positive side-effect? I am not a developer, but the bridge probably has access to Matrix history well and I think XMPP clients supporting MAM would just request the history from the bridge without needing to store separate history for all users (or is it doing even that as now it's XMPP clients trying to keep their own histories)?

Thanks for the bug report, I suspect the missing messages could be many things. I will check the gateway code.

The code is there but not fully hooked up so that history will be sent to connecting clients over MAM.
