Hi @turt2live I am wondering what is the state of this proposal or if there are other similar proposals considered? We are analyzing to use the matrix protocol to connect companies in professional services. E2EE is a no-go for compliance purposes because IT departments must have full access and legal holds on all information. Thank you in advance |

I think this should be updated to match the transition to invisible crypto. I believe it can be simplified to a single setting (on/off) because the encryption setup stops being a friction point for users.
