It's a real pain that synapse doesn't log stats on the nature of the PDUs/EDUs it receives #2652

It's all very well saying how many EDUs and PDUs arrive in a /send, but i often found myself desperately wishing that the INFO log level told me very roughly what the EDUs in particular are. Typing? To-device? Presence? something else? It feels it would be very lightweight and very useful to actually log a bit more detail here. Hell, even exim's logs give a clue on what the emails being xferred are...

if you enable debug logging, you do get the entire body of the transactions, but this is rather verbose. I think matthew is probably looking for a sumary.
