As per https://gohugo.io/getting-started/configuration/#copyright, make use of the copyright variable instead of author if it is set.

Ref:

© {{ now.Format "2006" }} {{ .Site.Params.author.name }}.

@hugo-sid: FYI I'm starting to create Issues in my own fork for things I intend to fix when I get a chance. I'm doing this rather than making use of the discussions or issue templates in your repo because it feels like less friction/effort.

My rationale is that on your repo you prefer feature requests to be in Discussions, which, unlike Issues, aren't as easy to export from GitHub if necessary, thus I'd rather not use them at this stage, and I obviously don't have permission to close Issues on your repo, even if it were appropriate to use them.

So I guess my point here is: you're welcome to follow my progress here, and pull any updates I add, and I don't object to this happening on your own repo either, as long as it doesn't add any additional friction. 🙂
