According to this discussion, inquirer is under a full rewrite to improve DX experience as well as reducing the package sizes.
But getting to the point. I'll keep the inquirer package as-is. It'll stay part of the monorepo, will be in maintenance mode, and who knows SBoudrias/Inquirer.js#1173. But the new homepage will now recommend usage of @inquirer/prompts, or one of the new standalone prompt: @inquirer/input @inquirer/select @inquirer/checkbox @inquirer/confirm @inquirer/password @inquirer/expand @inquirer/editor @inquirer/rawlist
