To build from source you need the following prerequesites:

JDK 1.6 or newer - http://www.java.com/
Maven 2.1.0 or newer  http://maven.apache.org/
JAVA_HOME environment must be set correctly

For compilation type:

mvn

and find the distribution in the wmsx/target/site/download directory
