Welcome to PinDroid (our app). In this privacy policy (privacy policy), "you" and "your" means you, the person using or visiting our app.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users of our app. Please read this privacy policy carefully to understand how we use and protect the personal information that you provide to us.
When you correspond with us or browse our app you are consenting to our processing of your personal data in accordance with this privacy policy.
We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy policy from time to time. Any such changes to our privacy policy will be posted to our app.
PinDroid is developed as an independent open-source project. You can contact the project on the GitHub site: https://github.com/maxpower47/PinDroid.
Our app is designed to enable you to browse and engage with the third party site, Pinboard. You are required to log into your Pinboard account in order to use the app. Whilst our app facilitates your secure login to your Pinboard account, we do not collect or have access to any of your Pinboard account details.
We may collect any information that you provide to us when you correspond with us outside the app such as via phone, email or otherwise. This information may include your name, email address, and phone number and a record of the correspondence.
We may use your information for the following purposes: to ensure that content from our app is presented in the most effective manner; to provide customer service in relation to your use of our app, to deal with enquiries and complaints relating to your use of our app and to notify you about changes to our services; to administer, develop, improve our app for example so as to improve your browsing and viewing experience; and for security purposes.
Other than as expressly set out in this privacy policy or as otherwise required or permitted by law, we will not share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your consent.
Our app allows you to access content from and directs you to links from other sources. Such third parties may place cookies on your internet enabled device.
We do not control Pinboard or any other third party sites, apps or cookies and this privacy policy does not apply to them. Any information such third parties collect by virtue of you clicking on a third party link on our app will be collected and used in accordance with the privacy policy of that third party. Please therefore consult the terms and conditions and privacy policy of the relevant third party apps to find out how the apparatus of such app collects and uses your personal data and to establish whether and for what purpose they use cookies.
All information that we hold about you will be collected and processed by us or by a data processor appointed by us to undertake processing on our behalf. We have put in place appropriate technological and operational security measures to protect against any unauthorized access to or any unlawful processing of any personal information about you that we hold. However, you acknowledge that data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure and that we cannot guarantee the security of any data sent over the internet.
