??? One guy writes about upgrading Darkcoin to a Darkcoin 2.0, with a new branding, and @vertoe call it quits? It is just the beginning....

Well - hmm. Turmoil in in the DRK. - There's quite a few routes this could take. The miners and users of the coin decide the fate of the blockchain. Rebranding is one thing - a chain could easily have multiple brands, and those brands could even support different features available from the chain, as long as they both support the "least common denominator" of the required protocol on the chain. Might sound crazy, but, that's probably just because no one's tried it yet.

@ELM4Ever we'll try to get a server up here at mazaclub to continue working on integration with this chain - I'm concerned about the potential for Evan to move some portion of the code into closed source (as has been done with DRK in the past)

@vertoe - regardless of your standing with DRK - please contact me later this week, early next week - would like to continue working with you, and we've got some opportunities coming that I'd like to discuss with you. (Take a break, crypto gets outta hand every so often, and the whole market is on the verge of a big jump up, gets more tense, greeds set in, and people make surprise moves)

mazaclub won't follow the rebranding until we see significant majority consensus, including a majority of exchanges and pools. If the darkcoin community were to multiply brand as DRK and DASH, we could support this.

One more thing to ponder:
We've already had one request to be able to build a version of Encompass without DRK for tribal government offices - (provided the chain tech stays the same) a rebranding of DRK to DASH could allow us to continue shipping a wallet with anonymizing tech, which wouldn't be met with the same resistance.
