I wonder if it's possible to provide the command-line interface or some API that takes command-line arguments that mimics the behavior of the upstream dot command.

Combining with https://github.com/nexe/nexe, we could build an alternative portable dot binary, that can run without any pre-installed shared libraries.

I think this is out of scope for Viz.js, but it should be straightforward to adapt the build to create such a package. I believe the dot command-line parsing code is available when using Graphviz as a library.
