Just follow the Pin out and connection
You can use either the custom PCBs available in the kicad folder or use GD32F303/CH32V30x evaluation board. Important : you need a model with 256 kB of flash and >=48kB of ram!
You 'll have to grab the matching bootloader and install it using a SWD/CH32 tool. When done, upon reboot it will go straight to DFU (the led will blink quickly) and you can install the main firmware over USB see Pin out and connection
