Usage: Create and manage Forms

1. click "Form list" tab:

2. click "New form":

Field name Description Is required?
Form name The name of the form.Will not appear on the form itself. yes
Form title

The title of the form.

Define the title for your HTML form document (added to <title> tag).

Publish type Accessibility to form: Public or Users group.
If you select "Users group", an additional field will be added ("Groups") that is required to select the group, which is allowed to access.
If you select "Public" then anyone can see and fill in the form.

Form managers Users who are authorized to manage the form. If it is empty and you set Administrator Users As Default Form Manager in the "Settings" then the administrator users will be the managers of this form. no
Status The status of the form: Published or Unpublished. When you create the form record on the first time, you can not change the status, but only after saving. no
Note Comments or description on the form. Will not appear on the form itself. no
* After you've finished filling in the fields, click "Save".

3.Update Form

  • Click "Details".
  • In this window, you can change/update the data of the form.
  • For status, if you have not yet created the form itself (Template), the form can not be published. To do so, see next step.

4.Create Form Template (Form builder window)

  • To create the form template, in the "Form Template" row (In the previous picture), click the "Edit" button.

  • In this window you actually build the form itself.

  • This is jQuery formBuilder plugin for drag and drop form creation.

  • Controls:

  • Action Buttons:

    • Clear - Removes all fields you've added.
    • Save - Saves the form template you've created.
    • Preview - Displays (popup) a form preview.
    • Close - close the Form builder window.
  • For example:

  • The Preview:

  • After you've finished building the form template, click "Save" on the Action Buttons.

5. Publication of the form

  • After you've built the form template (in the previous step), you can now publish the form by selecting "Published" in the status row ("Update" window, step 3).

  • And click "Save".

  • Click the "Details" button again (as in step 3). Below the "Status" row will be a table and a link to the form page itself ("Web form") and a link to the form's management page ("Admin web form"):

  • Very important: To edit the form template, you must change the status to "unpublished" and save. Then the "Edit" button will be available. Can not edit while the form is in "Published" status.
