Can't activate plugin

Error when trying to activate plugin in Word Press.

Here is the error:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[', expecting ')' in /Applications/AMPPS/www/comic/wp-content/plugins/webcomic/webcomic.php on line 22

• Webcomic Version: 5.0.6

• WordPress Version 5.0.3

• PHP PHP Version 5.3.29

Just a guess but Webcomic requires PHP 7 or higher. When I started using the new Webcomic, I had to change the PHP version settings from my host's dashboard.

Updated to Php 7 and was able to activate. Thanks.
