Due to limited resources this code is shared as is with no additional support.

Tedect looks for spikes of "earthquake" related tweets for indication of possible felt shaking events.
This version of Tedect used YQL (yahoo query language) for geocoding services.
This version of Tedect was provided to NEIC in June 2013 from Daniel and
was deployed into production July 26, 2013.

This system also needs a local copy of up.ups for usernames and passwords, but this file is intentionally left out of the distribution

To Run:
perl /installDirectory/tedect.pl &
