Opensearch allow searching through an OPDS catalog. It's working with :
Aldiko Reader on Android didn't implement it properly so it won't work with COPS or any other custom OPDS catalog.
Moon+ Reader, Stanza and many others will only work if you change the default configuration (cops_generate_invalid_opds_stream).
To make it work with Mantano (and Maybe Marvin), you may have to set $config['cops_full_url']
