A stand-alone application in Java that allows its users to get an up-to-date currency exchange rates for the currencies Israeli Bank provides a daily update via its RESTful web service (http://www.boi.org.il/currency.xml).
The user interface part of the application developed using Swing and the component that takes care after a continuous checking for the up-to-date XML data is implemented using a separate thread.
