I'm working on a mod that needs the player to have a parameter (that could be changeable inside a mod) that would define the transparency/invisibility of the model.
Hoodedice said that it would be an easy thing to do. So could it be pushed into the next update (0.4.11 or 0.5, whatever comes after 0.4.10)?

Can't you just apply an fully transparent texture to the player?

WTF dude, I told you that enabling transparency by the lua mod system would be easy, but that it was not required. I told you not to bug the core devs with this feature and to edit the skins to make em transparent. I also told you that even if you had a shizload of skins, it is just a hdd space problem and just a little bit of work on your side. And yet you go ahead and open up this issue which won't be addressed because it probably doesn't need to.

And worst of all, you cited me for this.

Said feature already exists

Yes, but can alpha-blended models be rendered? What was asked for here is partial transparency for models.
