• Please test with 2.39 specifically password boxes (both main entry password and secondary).
• Please test better support for password confirmation boxes.
• Please test the new richtextbox option should work well with urls. I am aware that return/enter does not work in the box working with keepass to see how we can resolve.

Please also make sure to BACKUP your database. The new password control added to keepass means the plugin is making a bunch of new calls to the password field management. I think it is all correct but it was done quickly so do not want anyone losing passwords.

With the exception of the return issue in the new richtextbox everything seems to work fine for me in 2.39

Thanks Mitch, works for me with KeePass 2.39. Replaced KPEntryTemplates.plgx with 7.8 pre release version. Warning message from Keepass at start up has gone. thank you so much for resolving this so quickly.

This version is working with KP 2.39.1.
Passwords from both sides are good, including mismatch warning.
Why would a URL be in richtext?

@TonyGravagno this is a feature of keepass. The notes box (and a few other textboxes) are by default "limited richtext boxes". The most obviously example is on the entry tab if you put a URL into the notes box it becomes clickable. KP has officially created a solution so that rich textboxes in KP > 2.39 will be able to accept returns so future versions will be able to have it replace the notes field itself.

Hello Mitch, thank you for a fast solution for the KP Entry Templates, i have a lot of Various Entries with such Templates, everything is working correctly no Error message.
Only in the "Check for Updates" Pre-release version but this is ok.
One Thing i have tried this new version with KeePass 2.38 and there is the same Error if this is some of Help or it should'nt be happening.

@ManDarkED thanks for testing. Sadly the old textbox and the new secureeditbox are too different for me to easily code a version that will work with both old and new versions of keepass. KeePass 2.39 can uses KPEntryTemplates 7.8 and higher, KeePass < 2.39 must use KPEntryTemplates 7.7 or lower.

I'm on a linux machine (GalliumOS) currently running KeePass 2.38 from the ppa:jtaylor/keepass repo.

I was suggested to install 2.40.
I still can not use KPEntryTemplates. I tried the beta from #post2, but the application reportes not to be compatible. Would you please solve this. I don't undestand why keypass still does not habe the great feature we had with KPEntryTemplates. I can not use it any more for moths now and want it back

For what it's worth, the version posted here does work with 2.40. Have you tried removing it entirely and verifying you got it removed before adding the new version?

Go into the GitHub repo for it and then the issues section and there is a thread there that has v. 7.8 of the plugin that works fine with 2.39, 2.40 etc.
