It'd be good if the "played this session" tick box and the total play count could be separated into two columns. This would make it possible to sort (and ideally filter) by either, and make it possible to have a tighter column layout by removing one or the other.

We could do this but I'm not sure the technical work required to do it would be worth the end benefit.

Fair enough. Another related thing that would more or less solve the problem for me would be to have a search filter for the 'played this session' variable. Not sure what a good keyword. Maybe session:true/false?

or a three state sorting

  • by played count ascending
  • by played count descending
  • the same as the two above but sort "played this session fist"

What are the use.cases for sorting by played? Maybe we can allow the most of them by group allways by "played this session".

Sorting by played is generally useful for finding your favourite tracks.

Now that I think more about it, sorting by played-this-session is not that useful, but filtering by it is (for example to remove played tracks from a crate/playlist).
