  1. We should add the following logos to our site and README.md, with links. If anyone (@ArtemGovorov, @segrey?) wants to provide a tracking URL, that's cool too.

(Future: add Discourse for donation of hosted instance, if we ever get it off the ground.)

  2. In a separate section, we could add logos for these services we consume:

Hey, first time here and If what I am asking is a little silly could you please redirect me.

It is my first time contributing to OSS so even if my work is not merged I would like to give it ago.

When I forked/cloned the repo I noticed the links for your logos are addressed to another website.

https://opencollective.com/mochajs/sponsor/19/avatar

How would I go about adding a new sponsor to that website so I can update the readme and maintain consistency?

Thank you,

Ottotsuma.

@ottotsuma Thanks for reaching out. So the README has those sponsor links/images, which are automatically retrieved from our top contributors to our collective. We already display all of our sponsors on our site, and (IMO) we don't really need to have them in the README at all. I'd be happy with outright removing all of those linking to opencollective.com.

Regarding the others mentioned here, it's just a matter of manually adding them. If we remove the opencollective.com ones, we can replace them with the new ones. so the companies that should be added has grown somewhat:

  • WallabyJS
  • SauceLabs
  • JetBrains
  • Netlify
  • Matomo

both Netlify and Matomo allow us to use their services or upgraded service at no cost.

IBM should probably be in that list too, but it is not so easy to just throw that logo on something. I'll see what can be done about this myself

Hello, @boneskull ,

Thank you for replying and so quickly, I was not expecting that.

  • If you would like to remove all of the sponsors from the read me and replacing with a link I could do that for you and if its possible include a picture in a pull request so you can see what it would look like before making a decision about that.

nologos

  • If you would like me to just add the new ones I will add them by linking to their logos already on your website. Would you be able to tell me what number each company is associated with?

e.g. https://opencollective.com/mochajs/sponsor/19/avatar, 19 is Ethical Ads.

I did try going to https://mochajs.org/ but the logo's displayed there are displayed with the URL address of 'https://mochajs.org/static/sprite-sponsors.pngquant.a536f2c615.png?ncolors=' which just leads to a giant image of all the logos.

As for IBM, I will leave such things to you.

I am writing from Japan so I am sorry if my messages come at unusual times.
