##Introduction to GitBook/GitHub## The Grasshopper Primer uses two complimentary platforms to allow for contributions and publishing: GitHub and GitBook.

GitHub

GitHub facilitates collaboration and version management. The files and resources that make up the Grasshopper Primer are in a repository on GitHub, and this repository can be forked (copied) and modified, and the modifications can be submitted for consideration to be added to the Primer

GitBook

GitBook as a platform for publishing digital content. GitBook connects to the repository on GitHub, and processes the files and resources into a format for end-users, either as a website, a pdf, or other ebook formats.
