At the top of the page there is a short explanation of the plugin

The Tidy Plugin tidies up a project’s pom.xml and optionally verifies that it is tidy.

Can you please explain what is unclear. Thanks.

What is tidy pom.xml?

We can say tidy room. But what is tidy file?

If checking dictionary

tidy = arranged neatly and in order

then what order is used .
