I'm seeing quite a lot in NCI and in other places that are not in DO or other sources. perhaps we can do some comparisons? eg. align with 'disease or disorder' branch and/or review xrefs in DO?

Random example. NCIt easy to see as they lead with Caps. In this example you can see a lot of the more specific classes are equivalent in both but both may have different groupings

I think the most sensible way forward is to agree on primitives ('malignant', 'neoplasm', etc - we have the cells and anatomy). And make equivalence axioms from these. NCIt at least have equiv axioms but their design patterns are different than what we might use. I think there may be some kind of legacy of their old ontology tool here.

But in the interim for mondo I would be open to swapping out DOIDs for NCIts. Bt ut is tempting just to parse labels with Obol and make proper equiv axioms
