redmine_static¶ ↑

Provides a simple way to embed static content in a Redmine install

Warning: Use this w/ caution, only allow certain users permission to manage static content. By allowing users to upload / view raw html you are opening yourself up to the possibility of a XSS or similar attack

Installation¶ ↑

• Install redmine as instructed on redmine.org

• cd <redmine-path>/vendor/plugins

• git clone git://github.com/movitto/redmine_static.git

• cd ../..

• RAILS_ENV=‘production’ rake db:migrate_plugins

• restart your webserver

• login as an admin

• Enable static content module for all projects that require it

  • Admin > Projects > [project-name] > Modules > Static > Save

• Add view / modify permissions to all roles that require it

  • Admin > Roles and Permissions > [role-name] > Check ‘View Static Content’ and/or ‘Manage static content’ > Save

• View / Add Static Content

  • Navigate to project, click ‘Static Content’ in main navigation
