fix gnu/bsd incompat.
This reverts commit bf14c26.
Without this it is very hard to actually see the errors in the first place.
lrt is not available on OS X, semaphores etc. are in the system library instead and don’t need additional libraries linked.

The build on OS X was broken for me, so i ended up fixing minor build issues, adding diagnostics to the build script and updating the README with the current requirements.
Don't mind the reverted commit inbetween - i happened to publish a bad commit with lots of undesired added files.
