RandomChild is a Radiant CMS extension that adds tags that work similar to <r:children:each>
yet randomizes the order of the child pages.
RandomChild with other plugins:
If you are using reorder plugin from Sean Cribbs the order of the child pages will be overridden.
This plugin is compatible with the Modulo extension from Lonnon (http://github.com/lonnon/modulo)
cd /path/to/radiant git submodule add git://github.com/acrookston/random_child.git vendor/extensions/random_child
If you don’t have `git` you can download a tarball
Then untar it into vendor/extensions/random_child
in your radiant directory.
Instead of using the normal <r:children:each>...</r:children:each>
use <r:children:random>...</r:children:random>
and then use it as normal.
Valid arguments are:
<r:children:random [limit="number"] [by="published_at|updated_at|created_at|slug|title|keywords|description"] [status="draft|reviewed|published|hidden|all"]> ...
Please note that the radiant caching will affect the output and only re-randomize the child pages when the cache time limit is up.
