Search among all shortcuts without selecting app #5
Comments
would it make more sense if we have an option to search all? instead of having that as default. I think it might be worth experimenting with it. |
Sure. Let's make it that way.
I'll try to implement that then. |
thanks. |
just thinking about this. we could make this a configurable option to set it as default behavior. therefore, each user can choose what they prefer. and within that configuration, like you suggested elsewhere, we could have a disabled list. that way, global search won't get crowded for each person. thoughts? |
Yes, we could do that as well. Though, first I'd like to implement it as a separate script filter input (it's easier). Then we could look into making it configurable. |
Sure. I posted the info about new features in that thread. |
Hi @mutdmour,
Have you considered removing the first step of selecting an app and just allow to search among all shortcuts? I think it'll be much easier since instead of typing the app name, selecting it, and typing the shortcut name, I could type the shortcut name right away. And thanks to the fuzzy search I could also very fast filter the end results if there would be shortcuts from other apps found.
If you think that might be useful I could try to implement that.
