J.3 Receive Invitation

Hadi Tavakoli edited this page Jun 16, 2019 · 2 revisions

Firebase Invites is deprecated. It's functionality is moved into DynamicLinks ANE.

Receive invitations

When a user selects an incoming app invite on their device if the user has not yet installed the app, they can choose to install the app from the Google Play Store or the App Store. Then, after the app is installed, or if the app was already installed, the app starts and receives the invitation along with the deeplink. Receiving the invitation ID happens inside the Dynamic Links ANE but these two ANEs are linked together which means that you will receive the Invitation ID only if you have the Invites ANE already added to your project. Otherwise, the invitation ID will be null.

// DynamicLinks class must be initialized right after Firebase.init(true); and as soon as possible.
DynamicLinks.init();

// You should immedietly listen for possible DynamicLinksEvents.INVOKE event
DynamicLinks.listener.addEventListener(DynamicLinksEvents.INVOKE, onDynamicLinksInvoke);

function onDynamicLinksInvoke(e:DynamicLinksEvents):void
{
	trace("e.link = " + e.link);
	trace("e.invitationId = " + e.invitationId);
}
