Pictures of rofi are transparent #216
Comments
I can't reproduce any issue on my machine. Also your image seems to be broken? It does not open in any of my browsers. |
@foxpy that is a screenshot of rofi, I've got an rtx 2060 to and a ryzen 5 3600. On Void Linux |
Works for me. Do I understand everything right? |
Strange, I wonder why it's just a transparent image for me |
|
No output for that, however picom has a PID of 6693. |
Hmmm.. Now I have several questions.
|
|
Could you please dump your picom config here? |
Using the default config |
We are using different distros so config may actually vary. I insist you to dump your config. |
|
Still can't reproduce your issue! |
I tested those and still cannot get a screenshot of rofi if I push "Print Screen" like how I originally said. I can get a screenshot of the entire screen with rofi but just not the window alone with the "Print Screen" key. Like I originally said, it seems rofi blocks the keyboard so any WM/DE keybindings won't work. |
I think we should elaborate on issue we are talking about. The problem with being unable to invoke a keybinding when rofi window is active is an expected behaviour. rofi takes exclusive keyboard input. I believe this talk is out of context here, in maim repository. The problem with screenshots of rofi being completely transparent is, however, very interesting. I wonder how did you capture the very first image you have attached to this thread? All I am trying to do is to reproduce the same buggy behaviour on my machine so we may at least know what is causing it. |
I did it like how I did it today as far as I can remember. But, I was using Arch and PopOS in October (both with i3) so something on those may have caused this. |
Well, as long as there is no clear way (or detailed instruction, at least) to reproduce this, I have no idea where to dig. |
@RossComputerGuy so is your issue still reproducible? |
Rofi seems to block keyboard input when running so I set up maim to run after sleeping for 5 seconds and this is all I get. I used these options:
-B -u
