1) Enable clientside compiler

In Joomla! Backend

Extensions -> Plugins -> System - Less Compiler
Basic Settings:
Set "Use client-side compiler" to "YES"
Save

2a) Firefox: Install FireBug addon FireLESS

Download and Install

2b) Chrome: Developertools do not yet support sourcemaps
