SCP no longer recognizing controller after computer shut down during power outage? #980

Basic info: I'm running SCP v1.6.238.16010 on Windows 8, using a fake Dualshock 3. It worked fine yesterday, recognized on the SCP Monitor where I could see the input and recognized by PCSX2.

I don't know exactly what went wrong, but this morning when I came home and turned my computer back on after a power outage last night, the SCP program stopped recognizing my controller. It will say it's plugged in in the pop-ups, but the monitor no longer recognizes it and it won't work in PCSX2. I've tried googling solutions and troubleshooting but everything I've tried - uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, trying different inputs, restarting the computer, changing the DS3 service so it automatically restarts on failure - hasn't worked. I'm at a loss. Even doing a clean wipe, uninstalling the program via the control panel and reinstalling it following the instructions hasn't worked. Can anyone help out? If I need to provide more information, please just let me know.

Whelp, I don't know what I did exactly, but it seems to be working now! The only thing I did differently was completely turning off the computer rather than restarting it after reinstalling the drivers and everything, so maybe that's why in case anyone else encounters a similar issue?
