Welcome to my fork of the ModularSensors repo! This fork adds features that I consider make field deployment of ModularSensors defined configurations more reliable.

ModularSensors is a fantastic resource for scientists (and anybody else) who can write software and need to build specific configurations of environmental sensors.

This fork, by providing pre-tested pre-defined configuration of sensors, in a binary format, enables a wider audience of environmentalists to deploy monitoring instruments. The features (and methods) defined here allow anybody to do this, and also to manage a project for scaling deployments.

New Features Notes.
Release Notes

I've added extra info that would have been useful for me, and also represents my notes on practical issues

  1. Download hex to download an already built firmware(description).hex
  2. Release Procedure - how to capture the .hex for all time, and download the same program for testing and scaling.
  3. Git Cmds to create a local forked repo, that can be modify, pushed back to this repo, readying for a PR (pull request) back to the original ModularSensors. I'm using mostly a Windows10 PC, a Linux machine is easier - but almost the same.
  4. Black box tests Some tests I've been doing.
  5. Mayfly ECOs - add hardware features to Mayfly hardwares
