I am most definitely not a designer, so help on this one would be appreciated.

I can someone comes up with a good idea, we can definitely add a backlink to a company page or linked in profile. Might be one of the easiest ways to show up as a project sponsor.

ideas so far:

Thanks at Nick & Nikola for your input!

Like mentioned inside the first post, the logo which does get used will of course get a backlink to its sponsor page inside the main repo readme (sponsor section at the top).

We should definitely try how a logo looks inside the new project website.
The design of the Website is not set in stone (will create a new ticket, pretty sure someone with design skills can improve it a lot).

https://neomjs.github.io/pages/node_modules/neo.mjs/dist/production/apps/website/index.html#mainview=blog
(we can remove the header background image if you like to)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXezmaIocKQ
(I do like the transitions though)

How about this:

Should we make it a competition?

The logo with the most upvotes until next Friday (July 24, 2020, end of day in CEST) wins.

We definitely need a favicon version as well as app icons (saving the website app to a mobile home screen).

Please let me know if this sounds fair to you and it is on :)

Best regards,
Tobias

Just dived a bit into the first logo.

Not participating here, since I am not a designer, just throwing in some ideas.

I identified the font:

https://www.wfonts.com/font/gemina-2-3d

This one was using:

Font Size: 80
text color: #e0ffff
matrix color: 10cc36
wind strength: 20
wind treshhold: 10

Some variations:

In general I do like more simplistic / flat logos, but with the name we could go into a matrix direction.

some other input which might be useful:

the name "neo.mjs" was originally "neoteric".

details here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoteric

too many companies were using the names "neoteric" or "neo", so it was impossible to go for it without violating trademarks / brands.

for a logo it does not matter though, unless it conflicts with already existing ones (thinking about "Space Force". lol.).

Hey there! I made something too for the project.
The first thing that came to my mind were waves so I just went with it. I tried to have a bit of meaning too, so the multiple waves would represent threads, and how they work together. Also I made a simbol logo so you could use it as a favicon perhaps, and for a header or navigation bar you could use the one with the name.
The logo is in svg format, so scaling is not an issue (if you need exports as pngs or any other format, I'll export those too, or just send you the .ai file). As a last note, I used the colors from @boemska-nik's logo.

Asset 3@0 5x
