Packaging: Release timing
We try to make a few (2-3) releases of Spinal Cord Toolbox each year. We should always plan at least:
- A release in late April, roughly one week before the big ISMRM conference, so that lab members' latest projects can be presented there.
- A release in late October, roughly one month before the yearly SCT course, so that we can teach people about new features and improved command line options.
These two big events are conveniently 6 months apart, which makes for a regular cadence.
We can also make releases at other times, typically because of a paper getting published (either by lab members or external collaborators) that needs to cite a specific version of SCT with new features.
