I'm using the nextcloud version 17 since its release and I have app text enabled and running by default, but I noticed that when I go to create a new text document it is not recognized as such and the modification is not allowed,

the file should have extension md, although it is created without extension md or if I rename it then in .md it turns out an empty file not normal editable.

if I rename it .txt it allows a normal modification.

I think it's a good idea to verify the creation because even if I am careful not to delete an extension of its already selected name when creating a name, it is put with, md and not .md and in any case is not editable.

even if I rename the created file with the comma md, instead of the point md it is not recognized

This is an issue with the file name translation that was fixed with #371 The fix will be in 17.0.1. In the meantime, make sure to name your files ending with .md instead of ,md

There is also the problem that when you click on the "+" symbol, the base name is selected including the extension and when you go to put the real name to the file, the extension that must be put by hand is also deleted.

That will also behave as expected once the translation is not leading to a missing . in the filename 😉
