Application not responding after "|"

When "Extended Regexp" is selected for "QuickFind search type" and "|" character is entered into QuickFind edit box - app is not responding. Only way is to kill the app.
Note: there is no need to press enter to start search in QuickFind and "|" character is quite common in regexes.

I can also confirm this, I've never actually used the quick find as I find the main search to be much more useful. To enable RegEx syntax for quick find you have to disable incremental search in the options, however, this does not seem to functionally disable the incremental search in practice. Opening a bracket also crashes glogg.
