Website down #2111
Comments
Website had been freezed since a while and used to be hosted on webfaction. Webfaction was bought by a shitty company last year and no longer support django (along with other zillion other stuff). Maybe could be hosted in some new place supporting django. Heroku maybe. Any other suggestion? |
Heroku sounds good at the moment, but I have no idea what the migration process is like :/ |
https://www.pythonanywhere.com/ is pretty great. You can host a Django site on there very quickly and easily. |
I'd be willing to help with this. Is there a backup of the plugins repository (third-party, etc) available somewhere? |
@pmourelle @centaurialpha I'm continuing the conversation here since I mentioned it at the wrong issue #2141 and the dup issue #2128 . Can anyone explain why the domain went up for auction? You could have transferred the domain to namecheap or anywhere else for $10/yr and connected it to any host you want. Now that it went up for auction it may be well over $1000 USD or more to get back. What is going on? Does someone you know own it or did a squatter outbid me this week? I tried to save your domain from squatters but I couldn't spend much more than $300. Did you get the money, or did Godaddy or a squatter get it? I want to know if we can even trust the Ninja project's website maintainer and who the website maintainer is or whether he/she ran off with that money. |
The website, including the plugins repository, seems to have vanished. Anyone know what's going on?
