When I checkout git@github.com:nmap/npcap.git on my Mac running macOS, the source files have CR-LF rather than LF at the ends of lines.
I think Git can be configured to give files CR-LF line endings when checked out on Windows and LF-only line endings when checked out on UN*X, and that should be how the libpcap, tcpdump, and Wireshark Git repositories are set up (if that's not the case, please file issues on the libpcap or tcpdump repository or file a bug on the Wireshark Bugzilla).
If that's possible, that would be a little more convenient for those of us reading the code on UN*Xes.
