Thanks. I have just rolled a release (v1.12.8) with this change, use npm install -g gh to update it.

Please notice your ~/.gh.json won't be updated by default.
The easiest way to do it (mind the custom config and / or changes you may have on your configuration file) is just to erase the configuration file and use gh user --login again.
