PF_RING documentation lacks many details, including (just to give a few examples)

  • ZC API example applications usage
  • ZC queue names and conventions
  • it does not cover properly pipelines of ZC applications explaining how to implement them
  • it does not explain what example (ZC, non-ZC and FT) example applications are doing

Also add an entry for Intel adapters in the "Drivers and Modules" section

Added Sample Applications section with: Basic Packet Capture (pfcount, zcount), Basic Packet Transmission (pfsend, zsend), Basic Packet Forwarding (zbounce), Multi-Threaded (zbalance) and Multi-Process (zbalance_ipc) Load Balancing, Divide and Conquer (zbalance_DC_ipc), L7 Flow Classification (ftflow)
