Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Steps to repro:

  1. Open Word. Add some headings and text
  2. Press CONTROL+ALT+O to go into Outline view
  3. Press the arrow keys to move through the headings.
  4. Press ALT+SHIFT+MINUS to collapse a heading
  5. Press the up arrow to move off it and down arrow to move back to it.
  6. Press ALT+SHIFT+PLUS to expand it again
  7. Again move off the heading and back to it.

The expanded / collapsed status is not reported when moving to each heading.

This is the same whether use UI Automation is set in NVDA's advanced settings or not.

Describe the solution you'd like

Report "expanded" or "collapsed" like with other tree view type structures.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Using NVDA's elements list works in some situations, although the Outline feature gives an overview of the whole document, not just headings.

Additional context

Tested with:

NVDA 2021.2beta1

Windows 10 (64-bit) Version: 2009, Build: 19043

Office 365 (64-bit) Version: 16.0.14228.20244

I've also reproduced this with 2021.1
