Yeah, I double checked with both the clean installed 2011.1 and Version: bzr-main-4160 source. I am running Windows 7 64-bit, if that is at all related... |

I only discovered this when trying to retrieve the version info of the source code after building the tree. I am using a laptop, so after I opened the About NVDA dialogue, I tried to change my keyboard setting to laptop by pressing NVDA+Ctrl+k. The strange thing is that the combo box can be accessed when pressing up and down arrow, it switches between desktop and laptop. Similar thing happens when opening the general dialogue with the language list. But I am not able to tab to any other controls or alt Tab back to the About NVDA dialogue. |
Comment 4 by jteh on 2011-04-11 07:12 Can anyone else reproduce the problem with not being able to alt+tab back to the About dialog? |

Yes. I can not alt+tab to the about dialog as well as close the other dialog. furthermore, I can't quit NVDA with nvda+q (and I have confirm on quit turned of). |

I also tested this on a virtual Windows XP, and I cannot Alt Tab back to the About dialogue either. Originally, I thought this might have something to do with the hardware, since I am using a laptop. But, I tried it with a USB keyboard, and the same problem occurs. I also confirmed that NVDA+Q cannot quit NVDA. The quit dialogue can be opened, but pressing the yes button just closes the window instead of actually quitting NVDA. |

Steps to reproduce:
Expected result:
NVDA should either warn that multiple dialogue boxes are open, or at least allow the user to close the opened dialogue boxes.
Actual result
the settings dialogue box cannot be accessed by tab or closed by pressing enter, escape, or Alt+F4. Alt+Tab can only gain focus to the inaccessible setting dialogue and not the About NVDA dialogue. As far as I have tested, there is no way to close the dialogue boxes aside from restarting NVDA.
