InDesign soft hyphens are split as two words by NVDA screen reader

Steps to reproduce:

1. InDesign tagged pdf. If needed will send the pdf to test to the mail id as the content is confidential.
2. Read the pdf with NVDA screen reader.
3. Words containing soft hyphens are split as two words.

Actual behavior:
Soft hyphen words are split and read as two words.

Expected behavior:
Soft hyphen words should not split and to be correctly pronounced.

System configuration

NVDA installed/portable/running from source:
NVDA installed
NVDA 2023.3.4

Windows version:
Windows 10

Name and version of other software in use when reproducing the issue:
InDesign 17.4
Acrobat pro DC 2024
